I'm a writer living in an unfinished house in Kalamazoo,
Michigan, with my husband Christopher and other animals. I am
six- feet tall and I drive a 1985 Chevy pick-up
truck with a rebuilt 350 small-block engine. My first novel Q
Road was released September 2002 and Kraftbrau Brewery in Kalamazoo
has created a specialty beer, Q Brew, to celebrate the occasion.
For a while I
traveled with the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus selling
snow cones, and as president of Goulash Tours Inc.,
I have led bicycle tours in Eastern Europe, Russia, the Baltics, and the
Balkans. Once upon a time I studied mathematics, but
now I mostly write, both fiction and non-fiction but never ever poetry.
Occasionally I publish a newsletter, The Letter
Parade for my friends and family, and I'm happy to share a few sample
issues with you all.
At the Southside Dojo, I study Kouburyu
karate and kobudo. In my spare
time I pull and otherwise kill garlic mustard,
an invasive species of weed which is enemy to native woodlands. Please
feel free to contact me about
cheap wine, noxious weeds, or the smallest man in the world. Cheers!
